Welcome

I don’t write songs because I want to be famous.

I write them because sometimes a story deserves music more than prose.

Some came from heartbreak.

Some from long drives.

Some from family.

Some from the desert.

Some from nights I’ll probably never fully explain.

If something here finds its way into your life…

then it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

Almost every song starts with something real.

A person. A place. A fight. A prayer. A joke. A wound. A road. A ring. A rooster. A canyon. A memory.

The albums are shaped with intention, but the stories are lived.

Life happens first.

The song comes later.

Featured Music

Boots on Stone

Boots On Stone is a true story about my Dad and Me. Getting stuck in a box canyon in Arizona when I was just a kid. I hope you enjoy the music video, I think the AI Gods did a good job on the likeness, although it was a ton of work getting it this far. Also the story is attached. Enjoy the story.

Holding Half My Soul

Everyone sees the guy shaking hands, telling stories, and having another whiskey. Nobody sees what happens about thirty seconds after the hotel room door closes. Enjoy the story.

Full Measure Living

Pain doesn’t diminish the good parts of life; it gives us the contrast to finally understand how good they are... Enjoy the story.

Rooster Mocking Me

My pops spent months in Maui being personally terrorized by one black-and-white rooster, now he has a theme song. Read more about that damn rooster.

Speaker for the Living

Why do we wait until someone is gone to tell them they mattered? The idea behind Speaker for the Living began with a science fiction novel, but it became a question I couldn’t stop asking. Read the story behind one of the most personal songs I’ve written..

Bloody Sunset

A crimson sky. Three phone calls. One unforgettable evening. Don't miss the song's story.

This is My End

The hardest song I’ve ever written—and the one I almost didn’t release. Read More.
